A collection of physical, psychological and emotional symptoms that many women experience up to 2 weeks before menstruation. Symptoms can include bloating, cramps, breast tenderness, anxiety, headache, fatigue, and mood swings. The exact cause of PMS is unknown, but is probably due to fluctuation of hormone levels as the woman's body prepares to menstruate.
