When the yeast in a woman’s vagina begins to grow fast and produce thick, white discharge. This occurs when a woman has a hormonal imbalance that can be caused by stress, pregnancy, antibiotics, or clothing/underwear/swimsuits that keep the vagina warm and moist. Symptoms may include vaginal itching, pain during urination, or swelling. Treatment can be prescribed by a doctor or purchased over the counter.
